The Department that legally represents the Government of Puerto Rico and prosecutes crime. For the public it is also home to several registries and direct-service offices: the Property Registry, where deeds are recorded and registry certifications requested; the Criminal Justice Information System (SIJC), which maintains the Registry of Persons Convicted of Sexual Crimes and Abuse Against Minors; the Office of Services to Crime Victims and Witnesses; and the Lobbyist Registry.
