About MiPRFácil

What MiPRFácil is

MiPRFácil is a free informational site that explains Puerto Rico’s government procedures, documents, permits, benefits and public services in plain language.

MiPRFácil is an independent informational website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of Puerto Rico or any government agency.

We do not submit applications on your behalf, we never charge for a government procedure, and we are not an intermediary for any agency. What we do is explain the process and send you to the official site that handles it.

How we handle official information

Government requirements change, sometimes without notice. That is why every guide shows the date it was last reviewed and links to the official source it is based on.

When a detail — a cost, a processing time, a requirement — has not been confirmed with the agency, we say so plainly instead of publishing a figure that merely sounds plausible. We would rather you know something is unverified than act on an invented number.

Guides marked as drafts explain the process in general terms, but their details have not yet been confirmed one by one against the official source. Always confirm with the agency before paying, submitting documents, or travelling to an office.

How it is funded

MiPRFácil is free for readers. It is supported by advertising and, eventually, by direct sponsorships from local businesses.

Advertising is always labelled as such and is never placed next to the buttons that take you to an official site, so an ad can never be mistaken for a government link. Sponsored content is always labelled "Sponsored" and never implies government endorsement.

No advertiser decides which guides we write or what they say.

Languages

MiPRFácil is available in Spanish and English. Spanish is the primary language. Translations are curated rather than automatic: official agency terms stay in the language the agencies themselves use, because translating "marbete" or "Permiso Único" would only confuse someone about to look them up.
