Privacy Policy

What we do not collect

MiPRFácil has no user accounts and does not ask you to register to read anything.

We never collect or store Social Security numbers, driver license numbers, weapon license numbers, banking information, or government account credentials. No form on this site asks for that information.

When you tick documents off a guide’s checklist, that selection is stored only in your own browser. It is never sent to a server and it disappears if you clear your browser data.

Usage analytics

To learn which guides are useful and which are missing, we may measure in aggregate which pages are viewed, what is searched for, which searches return nothing, and which official links are clicked.

These measurements are designed not to identify you. For outbound links only the destination domain is recorded, never the full address. Search text is truncated and long digit sequences are replaced, so a case or licence number pasted by mistake is not stored.

The external analytics provider we use is Google Analytics 4, from Google LLC. When active, it places cookies in your browser to distinguish visits and sessions, and sends Google data about the pages you view, where you arrived from and which device you use. Google truncates IP addresses before storing them; that is not an option that can be switched off, it is how the product works.

We do not send Google your name, your email or anything you typed into a government form, because this site never asks you for those in the first place.

You can prevent this measurement by installing Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on for your browser, by turning on whatever tracking protection your browser offers, or by blocking third-party cookies. The site works just as well with measurement blocked.

If you read us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, measurement and advertising cookies are switched off by default and stay off until a consent mechanism authorises them. There is none today, so in those regions you are not measured at all.

If the analytics provider is ever changed or another one added, this page will say so and name the provider.

Advertising and cookies

MiPRFácil is supported by advertising. When advertising is active, the ad provider — for example Google AdSense — may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance. Those cookies are set by the provider, not by MiPRFácil.

Third-party ad providers may use information about your visits to this and other sites to show you ads. You can review and adjust Google’s personalised advertising preferences in your Google account’s ad settings, and other providers’ preferences in their own tools.

MiPRFácil sets no first-party tracking cookies and does not need cookies to function. If any are added in future, they will be documented here.

That same default applies to advertising cookies in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: none is set in those regions unless a consent mechanism allows it.

If affiliate links are ever added, they will be clearly labelled and this policy will be updated before they go live.

Links to government sites

When you follow an official link you leave MiPRFácil. Government sites have their own privacy policies and data practices, over which we have no control and no responsibility.

Children

MiPRFácil is a general information site aimed at adults completing government procedures. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date shown at the foot of the page will be updated. Significant changes will be explained in the text.
