The agency created in 1972 that administers Puerto Rico’s natural resources: forests, bodies of water, wildlife, fisheries, mangroves and the extraction of earth-crust materials. Its Rangers Corps handles complaints about illegal tree cutting, unpermitted work and other violations of the laws the Department administers.
