Created by Act 20-2017, it groups the Police, Fire, Medical Emergencies, Emergency Management and Forensic Sciences bureaus. Among other things, it regulates how health facilities, dialysis centers, airports, gas stations, nursing homes, elderly housing and children’s and adults’ homes must prepare to keep operating during an emergency caused by a natural disaster.
